For testing you have to take a bike to the worst part of town, lock it, then put a sign up saying, "$1,000 to whoever can break this lock." Then wait. It's sort of like people who design squirrel-proof bird feeders. The squirrels are always smarter than them. Plus the squirrels are hungry, so one way or another they'll figure out a way to get to the food.

The changes I would make is to upgrade to a Grade 100 3/8" chain and a thicker lock. That would make it bolt cutter proof.

Can I just ask why you didn't design the lock or finish the final working prototype of the main chain assembly before posting? Designing and creating digital 3D test models are free and only require your effort.

I wish you the best of luck. Unfortunately, without a solid prototype and no plans with a manufacture in motion, as a buyer I would not invest. Admire the creativity, but from a purely business standpoint you fall on the wrong side of the risk/reward scale and the return is a sketchy road. Estimates of tooling and manufacture just don't cut it.

Again, best of luck and I hope success fall in your favor.
