$34 for a Allen Sports trunk rack on Amazon? Worth purchasing?
I'm going away next weekend with some people so the trunk will be filled with luggage, and I wanted to bring my bike since I probably won't be able to stand to spend the entire weekend with my wife and her friends, etc. Plus, it would be nice to ride someplace else than my normal roads.
On Amazon I found this trunk rack for $34; I always figured they were a lot more expensive. Does anybody have experience with these? The reviews seem to be very good.

I have roof racks on my SUV/crossover. But grabbed one of these for my wife's sedan:

It folds up really tight and has worked just fine. Just consider a few cords (like to secure the front wheel), and remember that it's not locked!

Depends on the car. Eventually a trunk rack will scratch the paint a bit as dirt etc get between the pads and the car. If your car won't mind that then go for it. If it does then something that doesn't contact the paint, or a better quality rack (with better pads) would probably work better. I've been out of the biz a while so I don't know the current trunk racks at all.

If you don't mind potentially scratching/scuffing your car and/or bike, it works fine. Make sure you secure the straps to something solid, not plastic bumper or fairings.
