Missing Control Tech Stem Cap

Hello all. I'm wondering if anyone knows where to get a missing stem cap for my older Control Tech stem? Might be a stretch finding one but what the heck. Thanks!

Are you missing a star fanged nut AND a top cap?

Is that an old quill stem?

Its a rubber plug.

Looks like a quill stem on an old LeMond Zurich. If you have a bike coop or bike junk yard near you, you might be able to scrounge what you want. But your best bet is to just replace the stem.

Its an older quill stem. I guess I should have just gotten a new stem to begin with before putting on new tape, etc. I might just scrounge around. Sigh.

Mountain bike Bar end plug might work or hardware store furniture plug. I have the same stem and it is just a rubber stopper.

That's what I thought....:thumb:

It looks the inner diameter of the stem is 3/4"

If all else fails, I might have to use duct tape. :)
