Road Cycling It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle. -- Ernest Hemingway

Ridley Bikes at performance

Does anyone know about the ridley bikes performance sells? Specifically this one, Ridley Fenix AL1 105 7005 Road Bike - 2014 Performance Exclusive - Aluminum Road Bikes up to 40% off Anything spectacular about it?

Still thinking of selling my allez and getting something different/racier. I'm between this and a felt f75, though I'm not a fan of shimano components. I may also just hang on to the allez and build up a new frame over the winter.

I rode the carbon Fenix with Ultegra a few weeks ago. It was one of five I rode looking for a new bike. Ended up with a Roubaix. The build/value on the Fenix is tops but it didn't grab me the way the Roubaix did when I rode it.

I'm comfortable on my Allez, but I'm just sort of bored of riding the same ole same ole and being a moving billboard for one of the big brands. But, I also want a racier frame, hence the Felt as an option. But, my third option is to sit tight and build up a carbon or Ti frame over the winter and designate the Allez as a training/rainy day bike.

Looks like the Fenix has the same geometry as my Allez. So, that's a lateral move, to a group set I dislike. Eh.

Having ridden an Interloc (who?) and a ParkPre (what?) for the past seven years, I'm ready to ride a bike that is easily recognized!

I just traded up from my bikesdirect frame to a Cannondale frame. Not as flashy as some other road bikes but I've already gotten more comments in a 2 weeks than I did in over a year with other bike (as you can imagine I got zero comments on the other bike).

...but yeah doesn't make sense to spend money a new bike to replace a relatively new bike in a lateral move. How about a CAAD10? racier
