Felt S22 2004
I just took one for a test drive. It's a 2004. It lists for $2,150 and the LBS will unload it to me for $1,795. What's your thoughts? Good price? Can I get it for cheaper than that? Let me know your thoughts.

What do you think? Assume I like both after a test drive. Which one do you see as a better value and just plain better component wise?
Thanks for your perspective!

3) '05 has Velomax wheels, '04 not sure
4) '04 price is better (always helps)

Although I've never owned a Felt, I have been contemplating the F1 Scandium. There is no mistaking the fact that Felt has come a long way in just the past couple of years and their reputation around cycling circles appears to sparkle.
The S22 was the one I looked up on the Felt site - the '05. It's gorgeous. As for the Narni, I haven't ever heard of it but it's easy on the eyes.

I know I threw in my two cents before but I thought I should just throw it out there again. If you're between a 2004 Felt and the Narni let me give you my unbiased comparison of highlites.
Javelin-
20 speed Campy drivetrain
Oval A700 integrated Bar
11/8" fork
Velomax Wheels
50x36 crank for more gearing
Felt S22
18 Dura Ace drivetrain
Profile Carbon X
1" fork
Alex Wheels
I think the Javelin wins on the wheels and the aerobar(a lot of versatility and you can run it agressive). The 1 1/8 fork offers more options if you ever wanted to upgrade.
The Felt is always recommended and I don't think you can go wrong with Dura-Ace. I haven't heard very good things about Alex wheels, but who knows. The Profiles are a good bar but the armrests will always sit at least 1.5 cms above the base bar.
If you're going to be riding on hills the gearing on the Javelin is going to be a God send. Also I don't know if you would even think about it but the Oval bars are compatible with Hed S-Bend extensions. The frames seem fairly equal. The one thing that I did notice is that if you are big and want to get agressive (low handlebar with seat forward) then the Felt will probably be a better option whereas if you're a intermediate rider (bars just below seat, seat not too forward) either's geometry should work.

Great analysis Triguy. That's just what I needed to hear. I'm not a big guy. I'm 5'10" and about 170. I consider myself a decent triathlete and will be riding in the hills. That's alot of what we have around here. I'm leaning towards the Javelin.
