First Road Bicycle?
 

I've been scouring Craigslist but I don't know exactly what to look for in a used bike or how much I should be paying. Any advice would be great!

I've been doing research for the last few months but I consider myself a newbie rider since I haven't been on a bike in a little under a decade.

When I was younger, I had my sister's hand-me-down Schwinn road bicycle (1970s model?) -- baby blue, racing handlebar, lightweight, and FAST! I'd LOVE to find something like it.

Look for a used bike with a double butted cromoly frame. If you can afford it, Reynolds 531 is to shoot for in a road bike. The ultimate road steed is a Reynolds 853 - nice, lightweight and sweet handling on the road.
