I concur! But I sure like black!!! A local here is the original owner of a robin egg blue Pantera...I drool over it every time it's in my buddy's shop for a little TLC. Hard to believe its 40+ years old.

My 2011 Schwinn Paramount Series 7- Dodge Challenger

It's a (V6) Dodge Challenger with a carbon fiber hood, because it's more cruiser than sports car. It's big, heavy, and doesn't perform worth a damn, but sure looks cool.

Yep, this carbon porker tips the local bike shop's scales at a "lithe" 23.5-23.7 lbs.

My bike would be Supercar from the 1960's...one of my favorite TV shows as a little kid:
Supercar - Episode 1 - Rescue (Pt1) - YouTube

Thanks! Out of curiosity last week while at the LBS for a fit, I figured I'd ask them to weigh it. I just about had heart failure when he told me that bike weighed 23.5-23.7 lbs! While I'm no "weight weenie," I am still puzzled as to HOW a carbon fiber bike (size 56) could weigh so much. Are the components made out of lead? :twitchy:

If my bike were a car, then I would no longer have that bike, so I'd have to ride one of my other bikes.

My bike refuses to be compared to anything so pedestrian as a motor vehicle.

My 2010 Trek Madone = Ford Taurus

there are tons of each, good dependable transportation...

but now that i have Campy record on it - then paint some flames on da' hood.

Although out of sync time-wise, my Lemond Buenos Aires feels like a Datsun 240Z with contemporary updates. Both are essentially derivative, but created their own following, were fairly inexpensive, workaday sporting vehicles, and even when updated, still show their age, even though they're aging well. Neither was the fastest, the coolest, or the best handling in it's day, and they're also both dead brands.

:thumb: No regular Madone with Campy Record, so no regular Taurus, rather Taurus SHO!

I've been riding my Merckx Corsa 01 a lot lately. It soaks up the miles so well, and has that lovely mustard/chrome combo, this was the first thing that came to mind.

I've got a Parlee SLi and a Colnago C59....so I'm going with two Yugos.... Why would I put my puny two cylinder underpowered engine in any other car?

I like it, one Yugo goes that way, one Yugo goes the other way.

While cosmetically they are on different dimensions, they are a pretty accurate analogy in terms of performance...

my bike: 2014 specialized sectuer I use for commuting and weekend road warrior efforts. good dual purpose design.

my car: 2014 mazda 6 I use for commuting and weekend road trip efforts. good dual purpose design.

oddly enough, both could use a little stronger engine.
