Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What to do with my snapped carbon bars?

Hey guys so I recently crashed. Car was turning right and I was right in his blind spot, classic right? So anyway my Predator integrated stem/bar has snapped as a result (pic here):

Wondering if anyone here has come up with a good use for a trashed carbon bar such as this one.

This question comes up all the time on the 41. General consensus is...ride 'em one handed.

Yeah, as others have suggested, those are tailor-made to be converted to bull horns. Just flip over and cut. But take care that there is not unseen damage elsewhere, like at the clamp.

Despite my being able to imagine your tongue firmly implanted in you cheek, I am tempted to ask, where DID the mistaken idea come from that carbon fiber is graphite?

Send 'em to campagnolo. They'll repurpose them in their Super Record Cranks.

I suppose my first instinct got the best of me!

I agree with others here... use the bars as wall art! They tell a story!

Glue them retape, take some pictures and sell it on ebay as new.

Just kidding.
