Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I do. I just think on the 41 people exaggerate how often they ride, how long they ride and how fast they ride. So coasting is likely about on par.

Which begs the question, why isn't there a 41 and/or an addiction strava club to keep us all honest?

Well, they have to be sure they have the best and the brightest, don't they? Shouldn't you have been researching preschools so you could get him into the right kindergarten so he could get into the proper primary school and so on up? Or is that mostly an East Coast thing? My kid went to kindergarten in a small town in BFE where they would have taught anyone who held still long enough so I'm not sure how these things are done.

Whatever, went through the thread and gave up on why Heathpack's magic bike is no longer magic or why it was in a shop. I suspect that carbon seatpost she's been waiting a year for... Something to do with a new fork too. GF01 is premium priced bike, sure seems full of drama, is it really magic?

Bought a Madone and some sparrow bike? Sparrow, training for a triathlon?

Stupid. I know a few who goofed off in school and didn't actually start getting good grades and focusing on studying until Junior in HS. And now they are doctors and lawyers graduated from Harvard and Columbia.

Grooming kids from kindergarten on is lame. Let kids be kids. They have at least 6 years of school to prove themselves later in life (Junior HS - College Grad). Plus no one gives two craps where you went to school after so many years out of school, just what you know and what you are capable of. Only d-bags continue to care where you went to school.

Where was this? I had a roommate thirty years ago who had a friend who took Organic Chem and her professor also called them "quizzies". Is it the same guy, do you think, or is this an oddity of professors in this subject?

Top that.
