Is (insert noun here) in decline?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Maybe it's like a submarine? It sinks, then (hopefully) returns to the surface.

I'm not sure about declining declining threads, but I see a rise in threads regarding declining declining threads.

One Decline thread to rule them all and in the darkness bind them.

The original thread stays, all others get merged here.

I don't think nouns are in decline at all.

I cite as proof for this that you and I are pronouns.

BF should impose a new rule: all posts to be written in Latin. Then our nouns would all be in decline ... all of them, always. That would do away with the need for 'in decline' threads.

If we were pronouns, we wouldn't be substantive ... oh, wait ... nevermind.

To paraphrase the most common phrase we heard crossing the continent; "It's all decline from here".
