Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I have a thread over in the Clyde section. I have dipped into Training and Nutrition a little but honestly never posted anything there, it is a deep well of information and I have just stuck my toe in a few times.

The thing has really been SIMPLE for the most part.
Download Myfitnesspal may 2014
Set it on "active" and "lose 2 lbs a week"...log every day, never lie to the program, never exceed your intake limits.
Walk every day til your right knee about blows out on the pavement (30 days or so will do at 300lbs and 5'8")
Drag a Trek 7200 out of the shed June 1st,2014 ride it 30-40 hours a month and rack up 2000 miles by the end of October.

Buy new clothes and give the old ones to goodwill :-)

Buy a Road bike with a Compact crankset :-).

Honesty is not always flattering, the left hand picture is size 46 pants, XXL shirt 263lbs....and most important really, AFTER a metric century July 4th weekend. The Right picture is a size L shirt, size 38 pants August 27th 235 lbs....not intended in ANY way to be flattering, and it sure is not :-).

Same pants, same shirt.....today, still not "there"....just a step along the way....Nov 21st 204 lbs.

I never took a "304" picture but the "big" jeans are 304 jeans.
