    Ultegra ST 6500/6510 name plates

I am missing the name plates from my ST6500 Ultegra brake levers. I know that the ST 6510 are compatible, but have not been able to find these name plates new or used anywhere on the internet (amazon, ebay, cycling parts sites, etc.) My next step is to go to my LSB and see if they can locate any.

I wanted to check and see if anyone knows if any other model name plates will correctly fit on the ST 6500/6510 levers?

    Thanks!

Is that your shifter pictured? If so, that's a 6510 (not a 6500) - which may or may not matter. This question has come up every 4-6 months for the past couple years, always without a source or good lead.

5510 and r600 can be used in place of 6510. All of these nameplates (and hoods) are hard to find, and typically expensive when you do.

Here's a set of 6510's that recently sold for $96!

Makes me want to pull out the Dremel and start making some and selling them on e-bay. Better-yet, a 3-d printed version would be easier to mass-produce...

But yeah, no easy answer for the hoods. I have a perfectly functional set of 5500 shifters that are missing both hoods and nameplates. They look like crap and are just sitting in a box while I use a set of Soras with the thumb shifters.

    Try these:

Shimano Road Shifter Service Parts - Bikeparts360.com

The website doesn't have an "Add to Cart" button, so I guess you'll have to contact them via the "Contacts" link at the top of the page.
