Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I have a tool drawer and a tool shelf. Neither of which is used solely for tools.

So we are in the SF airport awaiting our flight.

I skimmed the day's postings and it seems to be a blowhard contest.

My friend who took me on the Diablo ride is a pilot for US Airways, he told us to get lunch at Max's inside the airport. The food was surprisingly good for airport fare. Don't ask about the prices, though.

...when they built the new terminal here in Sactown, they contracted the food to some local guys who have better than average restaurants in town.

Meanwhile I've got rained on every day this week (that's four days in a row for those of you scoring at home).

Good grief.

Jeez-us. You claim to love that bike and ^this is how you talk about it when it's not in the room. I can only imagine what you say about me when I'm not on the thread.

I've been shopping for carbon hydrogen cartridges. Should save me a few grams at least, not even including the lift generated by the hydrogen in the tires. I'll be flying.

How to Inflate Bike Tires Without a Pump | eHow

  • 7Continue to inflate the tire by mouth. This takes time and is awkward, but it's better than being stranded.
