I can tell (at least I think I can) a difference between when my iPhone is connected via wire vs. bluetooth. The Bluetooth for music sounds pretty crappy. Not so sure I can tell the difference between from connected iPhone and CD, but I have not tried it recently.
Aren't there some new digital music formats that are supposed to be better?

Wife wants to go. I am undecided. If we do go, it will be during the week as the crowds are stifling on the weekends.

In Heathpack's case, the guy somehow was able to get the tire on with wrong end of a lever, then couldn't use the inflator. Then was going to wander off, and leave her stranded. I don't think he needs to use tools ever again, as it won't end well. Not to mention the stuff I have seen. People can do some amazing things to their car, sometimes with just a set of slip joint pliers, and a screwdriver....
HEY! I resent the impl....... ah never mind.....

Your main problem would be making sure to include padding over the plastic . . . heavens knows what the combustibility potential might be if you scratched it.
I went midlife crisis last week on a rental. Lady starts walking me down to the Camry's and Nissans and I said "Whoa, whoa! Give me that red baby over there"! And so it was done and I had me my fun. For a few days, anyway.
I didn't get any speeding tickets either.

As far as digital music formats, it's all pretty much the same (with at least one notable exception) - you're just varying the bit depth and sampling rate. If you're using CD as a baseline, many (most?) people would be hard-pressed to tell the difference between a 320kbps mp3 in blind test in an ideal situation (in front of a nice stereo in a good room). With the digital formats that surpass the CD baseline, it would, again, be very difficult for most to tell the difference even in an ideal situation. In the car, though, is far from an ideal situation - I've never heard a car system with anything near the spaciousness (which is one of my key triggers) that's possible with even a modest, but well set up, home system.
For me, in a car, once you have the frequency response range that you want, while being fairly neutral and distortion-free, everything else is spending a lot of money for little-to-no gain.

For some reason the radio sounds absolutely horrible on my car stereo. Not that it matters much since radio programming is mostly just as awful anyway.

I don't think there's any question about it. Some of the detail you can hear is just not present in mp3 . . . at least to MY ears.

Are you talking about the number of people or the girth of the people? It's the only place where I can eat a bunch of greasy **** and still feel relatively good about my self image.

Jeeps (real Jeeps) are too noisy for high-end audio to make a difference.

Having been out of state for ten years, it's still something that we like to do once per year. It does get expensive, and neither of us is going to go hog-wild on the food front, which is why it's limited to only once. Oh, I do really like the craft beer building that popped up while we were away - that's one of the more appealing things at the fair for me.

I have a CD player. Also, I will listen live - there are currently two concerts associated with this project.
