This tire will be for the road only and a want very good puncture protection, fast with a comfy ride. My researching has me torn between Specilaized All Condition Armadillo elite 120 tpi, Schwalbe Marathon Surpremes and lastly Vittoria Randonneur Pro 120 tpi

Love my hand me down Armadillos. Very durable and good in the wet. They are a bit heavy if you Are the type to care about an ounce or two. Sadly mine are also due for replacement.

Depends on the rim width. On 21mm wide rims, it is about 26-27mm. Close enough for me. I was not overly impressed with GP 4 Seasons tires when I first got them. But after 3000 miles they seem to have hit their stride. I rotated front to back, and back to front at 2000 miles. Running them at 80 psi front/95 psi rear with bike+rider+load nearing 240 lbs.

I have the roubaix elites on another bike. I like the fact that they don't flat, but they are not a light supple tire.

I have 700x23 Gatorskins i ran all summer and 700x28 Armadillos im running now.
Like them both but the Armadillos are smoother & better handling IMO.
Id take the Armadillos if i had to choose.

Part of that could be going from 23's to 28's as well.
Surface area of the Dillo's rubber is thicker than the Gators i have.

Hutch Sectors. Nice bit of rubber. I do run tubeless, and ride here in NYC, guys I ride with use the gators and 'dillos...they have to deal with flats far more often than I do.

It's the combination with sealant though... I have no idea how Sectors would behave with a conventional tube. I had 4 punctures July that sealed up without a hitch. It's nice not having to stop.

Gatorskins are decent tires, but ride like bricks. I've always disliked Armadillo's. I end up pulling over every so often and check the pressure because they always felt like they were low. Slow tires.
I run Grand Bois tires now which have no flat protection per say, but they roll beautifully and I've yet to get a flat with them. I'm running 32's though and love the speed and comfort of them. Take them down gravel roads a lot and yet to have an issue.

GP 4 Seasons are my current favorite. Only negative is that they aren't a high mileage tire. But, they're reasonable supply, offer good grip and adequate puncture protection.
25mm front 28mm rear on DT Swiss 585s seem to run pretty true to size once they've stretch out for a few days.
