Is my new Saddle bad?
So hi,
I bought a Fizik Arione two weeks a go and used him for daily rides which were 3 miles to school and 3 miles back to home. No problems there. When I went on a 6 mile there and 9 mile back ride today my sit bones start hurting. The same on my other 6 mile trip one week ago.
Do I get used to the new saddle if I ride more longer distances or should I try another one?
Thanks for helping.

Start here. the principals are the same regardless of brand.

Kit doesn't match
Are you using cycling shorts? I like the Arione, but for me, it is comfortable on longer rides only when I'm using proper shorts.

No i don't use cycling short. I thought about that and how that will affect comfort but for mainly commuting with longer distances as well i want to wear "street clothes"

I wouldn't recommend many road saddles that 'racers' use. Take a look at some mountain bike trail saddles, brooks, Selle Royal, or some shimmed underwear to wear under jeans. A little cushion below those bones is necessary after a few miles.

The Fizik Arione is a great saddle and I have the standard model on my fitness flat bar bike, and the newer "Versus" model with the center channel on my drop bar road bike. However, it is not designed for casual cycling - it's designed for serious cycling with the assumption that the rider is going to be wearing appropriate cycling gear, including well fitting padded cycling-specific shorts or bibs. The saddle is minimally padded, so riding on one in street clothes is probably causing a great deal of your discomfort. Seams in underwear rubbing against you are bad enough, but combine that with the additional and usually heavier seams in regular street wear shorts adds multiple layers of folded over and stiched fabric that are likely rubbing and moving around in sensitive areas. Over time that winds up as intolerable discomfort. Wearing well fitting cycling shorts with a chamois that fits tightly against your perineum and provides sufficient padding for your sit bones goes a long way towards alleviating any discomfort you think may be the result of the saddle itself. But then, too, the Arione is a very narrow saddle as well, and is not suited for every rider even if they're wearing appropriate cycling gear.

You can wear your cycling shorts under your street clothes, just dont wear anything under the cycling shorts.

Saddles take some getting used to. What you want to see is improvement. If a six mile ride hurts every time, then that saddle is not for you. If it hurts less and less each time, stick with it until you reach a point it stops improving.

There is a certain period of time that it takes to build up your "cycling butt". Some friends of mine notice that if they're off the bike for a month or longer, they'll have some discomfort for a while before they are okay again with riding longer.
Also though, comfortable saddles are very much an individual thing based on your body. What works great for me might be a total ass hatchet for you. It's not necessarily extra padding on the saddle or in the bike shorts that will make any saddle rideable. I ride one saddle, the Selle SMP Forma, that has no padding whatsoever. It's just a hard plastic saddle covered with leather, but I can ride it comfortably in regular street clothes.
I would try riding for a few more weeks on your current saddle to see if you get comfortable with the saddle before fiddling around with new ones.

I have been off my bike for awhile (OK a long while) the saddle on my Hardrock 29er (Riva IIRC) fits me pretty good and I grew to be comfortable with it on 10 mile rides.
Saying that my rides the last 2 days have NOT been comfortable I did a 4.4 today and was very uncomfortable, and tingly and I KNOW this addle fits me.
If the comfort level is not increasing with every ride THEN get measured and try a few out.
It may well be you need a different saddle but toughen up your sit bones and quads to be sure, most aren't cheap.
