Can't decide what I think, is this just plain ugly, or is it so brilliant that we need to adjust our eyes to new technology? I once owned Madfiber wheels and came to see their beauty, not so much that the wheels were artistically lovely, but what they represented that was beautiful. What do you think of the Look 795?

Speaking of Cherubim bicycles, here's one similar to the 795

Awful. A slightly sloping top tube is ok. That's too much.

it's the monstrous head tube that is hideous. clearly a bike that looks like you should race it but really for those less flexible and never likely to race it.

i would like to see it in a smaller size that has a shorter headtube, but otherwise, i wholeheartedly approve.

Love it. Hate the white bar tape though. This version is much nicer looking.

OP here, this bike really has split people into two camps...having owned Madfiber wheels, I would reserve final judgment until I rode the thing. Would all those "ugly" details add up to enough ride improvement to justify the ugliness?

Are we sure its UCI legal?

In size small, it is not nearly as fuggly as the pictures. This was this morning getting ready for a race ride. It is very clean. Conservative build with race wheel puts it about 15lbs.

I'm sure a few people thought the Pontiac Aztek was a cool and different design as well.

it's getting a lot of visibility in the Paris/Nice stage race this week. Florian Vachon riding for Bretagne-seche was out front in a breakaway with Phillipe Gilbert and Thomas Voeckler all day on Tuesday's stage.

I like it. It's not gorgeous...but it's nice, and at least a little different (With the right colors, it could be gorgeous!). Probably even nicer in-person than we can tell from the pic.
I find that usually if I'm undecided as to whether something is beautiful or fugly, as you are with this bike, such things usually end up growing on me, and I come to think that they are amazingly gorgeous. Ugliness usually manifests itself right away; as does mundane beauty; but uncommon beauty usually takes a while.

I'm not in love with it, but there is some serious engineering in it. My kid loves it, it's his coach's bike. Both have S-WORK Venges (how to do the plural - no idea) and looking at the front of this thing they are quite different.
It is very impressive how they hid all the stuff that grabs wind. I have not heard of any independent test, I expect this would win or be real close to the Giant Propel.
The coolest thing is the crank is one piece and adjustable length. So you can try 170 172.5, 175 with so little effort.
