Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

i vote for leaving it 'bare' unless you have the 'one less car' sticker.

How much does a paint job like this cost? Did you bring it to a car detailer?

Louis garneau in Quebec did the paint. It only cost $450 canadian. They charge by the color. Hand stripping carbon is $150.Remember these are canadian prices so it would be cheaper for most of u guys in the states.

I love the paint job.

I would put some stickers on it, not totally pimped out, but something. I see red decals to match the colour of the Bontrager X on the seat post, the ZIPP from the rims and the Cinelli Ram bars. It would tie it all together really nicely.

Nice.

I have to admit, the only decal I would probably put on it, is my name in script in black letters, and apply it to the silver part of the top tube. That's about it. If you really want stickers, I would probably stay away from TREK decals, and just try to find some of the manufacturers stickers for the components and put the in various place. Chainstays, seat stays, etc. But I would keep them small and not very pronounced.

I would stay away from the TREK also. Nothing wrong with TREK, but you went through such lengths to make it custom.

Why not C.F.F. somewhere in a rich red on the top tube. Subtle as Patriot says.

Somtimes in cycling its hard to know when to stop! Put the brakes on and leave the frame as is, how could you top the look you ended up with, certainly not with stickers!

What - you don't like my candy apple red 5500 with the over-the-top badging?

Louis Garneau in Quebec may be getting a call from me real soon.

looks like they did a nice job. but coming from the background i do, i'm used to seeing that sort of layout as just the start of the paint job. going against what most people here will say, i would actually like to see some graphics to give it a little more "look at me!" presence. i guess i probably sound like one of those idiots from american idol.
still, it flows very well. looks great!

Absolutely gorgeous. I'd just put my name on the top or seat tube. Maybe in a slightly brighter silver. Or red, as fore0121 mentioned.

I would agree with this, almost like this is a base layer. It does look sweet.

I would still be subtle with any graphic package added, but it does need just a bit of a finishing touch, IMHO.

Actually, I don't really mind that colour scheme. Without all the extra swirly things TREK likes to do to add 'Pizzaz' (he says with JazzHands), and a better font for the TREK, that colour is not bad.

That silver looks similar to the silver they actually used on their OCLV frames a while back. Nice stuff. I've thought about getting my Orbea repainted, as the Euskaltel colors a bit over the top, but I've also gotten a lot of compliments on it.

I've got a feeling... that LG subs the painting out to Guru. That's just a hunch. I know Guru (based on Montreal) has a very high-tech paint booth and it'd be odd that LG was setup the same way for the low volume of high-end stuff that they sell.

Regardless... LG has some nice paint options. This is the stock paint job I'm ordering on my a-la-carte LG 6.1:

This has got to be like the knife twisting in Rad's back!

By the way...I'm thinking just a splash of yellow. I'm a sucker for yellow.
