Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What's wrong with the OP's question, peeps? There are plenty of options that fall within the parameters he specified.

If one reads carefully and then thinks before answering there is nothing wrong with the OP's question on it's own.

But if you have noticed how many threads he has started addressing the same wheel purchase it gets silly in a big hurry.

I named three wheelsets that fit the OP's parameters and you named zero.

edit: Remembered that Giant also has their "EXT" series:

I've got 3000 miles on my RS10's and they're straight as a pin. Not disco, in any way, but meat and potatoes.
This thread got kind of weird...

Easy to do with a 40 spoke rim and hub, laced triplet style. Use three holes on the rim and skip one. Use 20 holes on the DS of the hub and 10 holes on the NDS. Skip every other hole on the hub. Done and done.

I have done this with a 32 hole hub and rim to give a 24 spoke wheel. No reason it can't be done with a 40 hole rim and hub to give a 30 spoke wheel or any rim and hub with holes evenly divisible by four.

These look like two nice value priced sets:

wiggle.com | Fulcrum Racing Quattro Clincher Wheelset | Road Race Wheels

wiggle.com | Campagnolo Zonda Clincher Wheelset | Road Race Wheels

Anything you get will be an improvement.

I got a deal on some Alex wheels for riding in slop. They are the worst pieces of crap I've ridden that's above department store quality. I can't wait until I chew the rims up enough to justify replacing them.
