My SL6 came in at 16.29 lbs. This is with a Race Lite TLR wheelset upgrade, a Paradigm RL saddle upgrade, and with PD-5800 pedals.

Meh...that's not cold. It is about perfect for riding. If it gets much warmer you start to sweat too much and it makes streaks on your sunglasses. Unfortunately, it is back to the mid 40s today with sleet this morning. Should be in the mid 70s by the weekend though. Such is winter in Texas...we get about 4-6 weeks of winter every year...but it comes about 2-3 days at a time, interrupted by sunny days in the 70s.

That's what I tell the group when we pull up at Starbucks. Nobody steal my bike, it stands out way too much. Now my flat black Emonda I'm worried about, thief would grab it because it's black and there is lots of black bikes out there. But I do love my Shrek bike IT stands out.

I bought a small, light, cable lock at Performance Bikes for $8.00. It won't stop a guy with bolt cutters, but it keeps the guy who will jump on your bike and ride off from messing with you.

Hey guys, would you know the weight of your Emondas with stock parts? Trek never publishes the actual weight of their bikes (as far as I know) so it's hard for me to know if Emondas are actually as lightweight as they market them to be. Especially the entry-level OCLV 300 frames which are the only ones I can afford.
I'm looking to get a road bike and it's a toss-up between an Emonda or a Domane

My 6 series Domane with Di2 and RXL TL wheels, look pedals is 17.2lbs. My SLR with DA Di2 and DA C35, look pedals is 14.

If there's a bike you're interested in at a LBS, ask them to weigh it.
My SLR weighs what i expected it to at 14# with pedals, bottle cages and Zipp 303s.
I saw a SL8 and was not impressed with he weight. It felt heavier than my 17# Madone 4.6c butt he shop couldn't (or didn't want to) find their scale

Here's mine. SLR frameset, mechanical DA9000, eecycleworks brakes, alligator ilink housing, stans/bhs/cx-rays running tubeless. It's a bit of a porker at 13.2 lbs. With lighter (non-tubeless) tires and vredestein latex tubes it dips down to a more respectable 12.8 lbs.

Those cages look light but do they securely hold the bottle?
Also that's stem is slammed... looks like a 130 or 140mm.

Those cages are only compatible with conical (tapered) shaped bottles. Tacx and a couple others make them. Regular bottles fall right through. You have to use a twisting motion to get them in or out. I put some silicone sealant on the insides of them as well. I haven't lost a bottle. To put them into perspective, that photo is in the middle of Butano Fire Trail, an unpaved fire access 'road' that goes from the top of the Santa Cruz mountains down to the Pacific. All unpaved, full of uneven and washed out dirt and gravel. My bottles didn't budge. The cookies that were in my back jersey pocket? I'm sure some deer or mountain lion got to them.
