Quick question for Kestrel TSR 1.0 owners: cable routing

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Quick question for Kestrel TSR 1.0 owners: cable routing

Checking here before going into the maintenance forum....couldn't find anything to answer my specific question in search...or on the whole inter webs.

Have a TSR 1.0 frame I picked up....pretty similar to my tri Talon SL frame, but some slight mold differences. Getting ready to build it up, but the holes for internal frame building do not have built-in frame stops. When I got the frame, it only had one cable stop in the whole frame (removable). I initially thought I would just run full cable housings throughout the length....certainly works for the brakes.

For anyone that has a TSR 1.0 -- for the Derailleur cables.....can you tell me if you have cable stops at every frame entry/exit point, or (especially in the case of the rear derailleur), did the factory build the bike with one continuous cable housing all the way to the RD attachment point? I picked up some Jagwire Road XL to be able to do that.... Theoretically, so long as there is a hard stop at the shifter and and hard stop at the RD.....the cable could still function / move within the housing.

Otherwise, that RD cable would need to be 4 different segments / with cable stop inserts.

Thanks! Looking forward to building it up.

Is it possible this frame intended for electronic shifting and those tunnels are for electronics wires, not mechanical shifter cables.

Running outer cable from the shifter to the derailleur will make for an unusually large amount of friction/drag and degrade shift performance noticeably. I don't see how that could be the right answer.

What is the OP talking about? I'm looking at a Kestrel TSR 1.0 pics now. The cable stops for the entry are built into the frame, like umm... almost all carbon frames I see. Even for where the housing connects on the chainstay, there is built in cable stop. Not removeable but it's obviously a cable stop built into the frame.

Looking at pics I saw cable stops in all those points and you can see the ferrules sticking out of them, cable stops working as intended. I'm confused.

I think BikesDirect were dicks not to have removeable cable stops though. Recabling that without inside liner still in there is going to suck. Unless they have non removeable liners inside the frame too?

I have a Talon that I just completed building. I went to a LBS and they gave me a handful of stops for $1. But yes, there are stops at every transition point. They should be easy to find.

What is a removeable cable stop? Do you mean an adjustable one? My 2009 Giant doesn't have adjustable ones either. I just shoced some screw type adjustable stops into the fixed ones on the frame. Works fine.

To make it easier to fish out the cable with internal cabling, lot of bikes I see, including mine, you can remove the cable stop. Makes the hole bigger so it's eaiser to see and fish out the cable. Big enough to insert a bent clothes hanger hook to fish out the cable.

Nope....not built into the frame. The stops (if used) are "removable." For lack of a better word description, think of it as a removable housing that the end ferrule would go into. First time I've seen it on a bike with internal routing...but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I'll talk to my good buddy at LBS -- and see if he has some. Guess I didn't need to get the XL cables, oh well. Coulda got a different accent color for housings instead of black
