These adapter braces (i forget what they're called) work great for those of you that experience wobbly bike racks.
One of the nice things about the Kuat line of racks is they have a built-in system to prevent this from happening. You can't see from the pics I posted. But, there is a knob to turn under the rack that takes any slack out the attachment point at the hitch.

Holy Cow, I can't believe that the Smart Car can actually take that much weight on the back end. Do you have to balance it out with a sand bag or two on the front bumper?
