Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Well, I wish I could say I had. Cool lookin bike! I don't get the tech in the forks & seat stays but looks like they're trying something different.

Ridley's certainly a respectable bike. With the kind of curves it's got, I'd imagine it's not far from all the rest. Trying to blend compliance and stiffness to get the most speed & agility out of a road bike frame.

They sure used the word "massive" an awful lot in that video.

I almost bought a 2014 this week. The F-brake has a max brake track width of 23mm. If you use wide rims, they will not fit.

mh.. that's interesting. I checked with the store and they said the 2014 models should fit 25mm tyres. They send me a picture of one with 25mm tyres/rims. I'll report.

The wheel clearance is adequate. The brake track width is the problem. For instance, it won't fit the Firecrests.

Yet, the 2015 is spec'd with Firecrests on Ridley's website. CC says it's still a 23mm brake track width.

Thought you said you almost bought? or did you try fitting wheels on the frame before buying?

I have built the bike with 25mm rims with 25mm tyres. Fit nicely and leave some room. Test rode for 20 miles. I got yeoleo 50mm deep carbons, 25mm wide U-shaped rims. Bike weight 16lbs.
