Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

You have to appreciate how they are going after the previously untapped market of blind cyclists.

@3alarmer Pantone declared their color of the year for 2015 and the guesses I saw and made online were way off. Next year's color is one not seen much since the 70's. Back then we called it "Burgundy". This time around they added a smidge of brown and it's been renamed "Marsala". Here is it on a bike:

On a photography forum, I was just told that I'm afraid to debate and that I run away when my stance is challenged. I literally laughed out loud when I read that.

Lesson learned - unless you want a fight on your hands, don't say that you find the colorization of historical B&W photographs to be less engaging than the originals.

One has only to watch this clip from the Bette Davis film "Jezebel"- with the star in a dress that is identified as "red" and which clearly appears not to be black:

[video]https://www.tcm.com/mediaroom/video/492893/Jezebel-Movie-Clip-Pleasant-Evening.html[/ame]

And then part of this colorized Three Stooges- skip to around the 3 minute, 35 second mark for best effect:

to see why some things should be left the hell alone and to the imagination.
