Addiction XXXX2

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I had been sleeping in the bed of the truck (truck has a topper). That has come to an end though. I traded both my Tundra and my Lexus CT200h in on a 2012 4 Runner last week to save some money. I'll be sleeping in the enclosed trailer this coming year.

Track days are $195 per day so winning a years worth is a pretty big deal.

Damn, I hate the smell of Phil's grease. It clings and clings. Hand washing doesn't do a lot of good. It seems to require a shower to get rid of it.

I think that K Force is the pressure applied to the human colon by Special K. I either read that somewhere, or just made it up. I can't recall.

In the headset department, I have one FSA, one Cane Creek, and one using a random assortment of parts from the LBS bin.

My HS lineup:

KHS: FSA Orbit
Mongoose: Diacompe Aheadset
ParkPre: VO Grand Cru
Free Spirit: ?
Scapin: Tange Levin
Lemond: VP Modus

I also have a couple of 600 headsets and a Campagnolo something (sans locknut), I should really put one of those on the Lemond. I mean, VP Modus? What the hell is that? I should put another one on the Free Spirit.

One of my favorite cranksets was a 50/36 Stronglight crank, which appeared to be a blatant Sugino rip off. But as happens with all of my best cycling stuff, it was on the build I gave to my brother. Don't say it, Jonesy.

The mountain bike used to have a Cane Creek headset, but I used that to build the sister-in-law's bike.

.
...my favorite threads in C+V are the ones where some guy pulled the threads out of a decent Stronglight crank and it's too late to tell him why.

The Polyvalent is a nice looking crank. Not that I often pay compliments to other men's cranks...
