Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

if you want aero, the s5 has got this bike beat. it's pretty much a tt bike with a road handlebar and seat moved back a few cm.
Nitrogen = $2,500

S5 = $4,500

That's why.

I work with the assembly factory that builds these bikes (nothing to do with me) so I've been up close and personal with them during the process. I've become a fan, too.

The factory that makes the frames is stable and well established in Taiwan. I would ride one, too. This is a pretty hot ride.

I have a 2014 Gallium Pro and had a 2013 as well - 2014 replaced the 2013.

It's a nice bike. Argon did a lot of cool things with the 2014 redesign that really impressed me. Notably the cable routing into the front of the headtube, which reduces the movement of the cable housing when turning and eliminates housing rub on the frame, and the routing under the BB.

I'm talking brand new framesets. Not complete bikes, not used.

Nitrogen

Can't find a 2015 S5 frameset for sale online, but Cervelo lists it at $4,500.

Here's a 2015 S3 for $2,900.

why do they name their bikes after a noble gas? I want search results to yield bikes, not gas canisters.

and why do they name it after nitrogen? why not oxygen? excess nitrogen is a common cause of asphyxiation, which is the opposite of what you want when you're suffering on a bicycle.

Hey, someone has to buy new bikes, otherwise those great deals on used bikes will dry up.
Also, if I was in the market for an aero frame, this would be near the top of the list.

Because I ride XS or 50cm frames, not exactly the easiest to find used.

Sure if I waited six months I could find just the bike I'm looking for on the used market, but it's easier to just buy new.

Also, it's just money.
