Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Seriously if someone looks for deals, you can find just about anything new on sale. Even Assos if you know what dealers do sell at a discount.

Some of the deals for used stuff isn't that different than new sales and you often have to pay shipping too.

They are willing to live with their own dirt, but not a previous owner's. Those of us who machine wash and dry our bibs/shorts likely are less concerned. A modern washing machine doesn't leave anything behind. Just saying.
I use a washing machine with a detergent made for athletic gear and use a second rinse cycle, but I would still not wear someone else's shorts, no matter how well they have been washed.

I bought a pair of used shorts at the Trips For Kids 2nd hand bike shop.

In fact, this is the 2nd pair bought there (vintage wool nickers).

Some of you may want to avoid responding to my posts, to avoid getting cooties.
