For that price I'd buy the AirZound
and I've done so
A bell is a bell no matter how loud it is and when you ring it the people know it is a bike coming. AirZound makes them think you are a truck or something

I find the single ding bells to be rather useless in windy conditions. The old style bells that go brrrrrrrng-brrrrrrrrng seem much louder to me. And bells seems to come in sizes that don't fit handle bars on a road bike that have cabling underneath the tape.
But that is a lovely sound. I'd get one of those to use to ring for the maid/butler.

I've had one (in black) for about 10 months now. It is everything I was looking for in a bell. It's got a loud, clear, pleasant tone. It's small and unobtrusive on my bars. The only downside is the price - and by now, I've forgotten what I paid for it.

I picked up two Spurcycles and they are the nicest bells I have ever seen. Really well made, should last a lifetime. The tone is pleasant, clear and very loud.

Any recommendations on a bell that actually rings? I've found a lot of low cost bells that *ping* once with a thumb flick, but want something with that old fashioned *ring ring* sound.

I've got the Mirrycle Incredibell Original which is the single ping type, however my wife has the Mirrycle Incredibell Brass Duet which has the brrring-brrring sound. Both are loud and clear and significantly less than the Spurcycle. However, I really do like the design, looks, and mounting options of the Spurcycle. I might have to put that on my list for my next bell purchase.

"If you push hard enough, it will chime on the outward push and then again when the spring-loaded mechanism causes the lever to rebound to the resting position. So a simple, "bing bing." It's possible to push the lever forward and then release and only get a single "bing" if that's what you prefer. It's not able to do a longer "brrrrrring" sound."
It also seems the clamp is too small for standard 31.8 road handlebars.
I will have to keep looking.

Got my bell in and installed last night. I have already irritated everyone in the house ringing it....I like it a lot, really loud and clear, almost unpleasantly so in a small space.
My biggest issue with many of the "brring" bells is their ringing slightly over bumps. My favorite are the rotary bells, but they are about the worst for making noise outside of use.

I got one right after the kickstarter closed and waited months. It really is a lovely bell and sounds great! I paid closer to $30, but being honest the dekta between it and tge normal bell was a few cappucinos.

If someone is gaining on me and checks me with a $40 bike bell, I have bigger things to worry about.

Yup, still loving mine and it's saved my ass at least once now. We ride on the cart paths here in PTC for fun on the weekends. It's great for warning the oncoming carts at the culvert road crossings.

Darn in. Now I want a $50 Bell. It's the cost of a few Starbucks, so I guess it isn't that big of a deal.

Is that a statement of how cheap the bell is or how obscenely expensive a coffee can be. I don't think I read your statement in the way you intended it. 😕

You won't regret buying that bell. I also have one and it's got a great tone. Looks like it was milled from a solid block of metal. I use it on my cross bike since the multi use trails are sometimes pretty crowded and I get tired of yelling "on your left!".
