Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Nonetheless, although very difficult, we try to push on without him.

Last big training ride tomorrow on Mulholland Challenge course. We're doing 80 miles and around 9700 ft of elevation gain. I have all the tough climbs on this ride and its going to be hot. We'll see how it goes.

Garmin sent me an Edge 1000. I've used it once and so far, so good. I put the course for tomorrow into it, we'll see how that goes. I don't actually need the beeps to tell me when to turn, I've ridden all of this route at least once already, so I know the turns. But its worth seeing how that feature performs, I'll give it a whirl.

Durango is a cool town. There's a diner downtown that Rob Roll used to frequent for breakfast. Maybe you'll get to see him.

I think the spring thaw came and went. We are now in winter again.

It snowed here last night.

I broke my Fizik curve and I emailed them via their website. I got an "Out of Office" email last night and just replied with a picture of my saddle. Today, (one day later) he replied and asked for my model and my mailing address.

This might be awesome fast response and excellent good faith warranty support for their saddles.

You could start a thread..."I ordered a cycling jersey and the place sent me a women's large, I'm a guy"

...I don't get the whole thing. If women's underwear came in my size and was cheaper than boxers, I'd be all up in it.

I wear ladies gloves. Sometimes consider ladies shorts but I doubt they'd fit right.
