Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

OSMO vs Hammer HEED

Got a sample of OSMO Active Hydration at an event recently. I've been using HEED for quite a while but open to new stuff.

Has anyone tried OSMO and can report on the product? What I like about HEED is that it contains mostly natural items and the science 'seems' to be solid. I notice that OSMO lists sucrose as the first ingredient...

Sucrose is about as natural as it gets.

I tried Osmo last year as my wife got it for us through a sponsorship deal. I wasn't a fan. It did not seem to do much. I'm going back to Gu Brew or Accelerade.

Heed has a lot of fake sugars, those had been bothering my stomach. I switched to Skratch, all natural. I like it a lot.

I tried it over an extended period, a couple of different flavors. My opinion, OSMO is better than Skratch, but at this point I've gone back to mostly just water for fluids, except for Hammer recoverite post-ride. With the drink mixes, I'll use them in lieu of water and food on short rides around 30 miles, but watered down a bit from the suggested mixture.
