This bike was ridden regularly. It is an 8 out of 10. The drive side drop out developed a hairline crack a few years ago and was professionally soldered by a frame builder. The entire frame was chromed before it was painted. There are pin sized chips in the frame from use, but the bike is a solid 2 footer. (looks amazing from two feet)
I hate to sell this bike, but having the Dawes stolen out of the gated back yard means that I don't have anywhere I can safely store this thing.
This is the first bike I fell in love with, and I worked all summer to get it out of the vintage store it was living in. The truth is, I don't really care for race bikes. I'm much happier (was much happier) on my relaxed 5 speed drum brake dawes, and my fixed gear. I just don't compete, and this bike is out of my class. Its a blast to ride.
I am also trying to get some funds together to replace my wife's stolen bicycle
Asking $1500 - which after some research seems fair. I can't find any of these for sale anywhere, so I don't know if they command a higher price than your average italian ergo record bikes floating around on ebay. You tell me. I'm a reasonable human being.
