originally i thought "fixie" was a term for someone who exclusively rides fixed gears, like "roadie" for road bike cyclists.

that being said, no, it doesnt really bother me.

I have used these on my road bike and they seem very grippy, which would be bad for skidding i guess. They are also a bit noisier than your average good racing tire.
