The reason why they use FSA cranks on these bikes is because shimanoe does not make bb30 cranks. So this is really as full 105 as the bike can get.

Are you able to get the 105 caad8 at that price? The caad8 seems to be similar to a caa9 just a little more relaxed. You should go to a dealer and see if they have one in stock for a test ride.
