looks like the cable was bent inside the hood causing it to jam. Glad no serious damage or i wasnt going crazy

To clarify - i can only shift through 2 cogs. Not per shift. for example if the chain is in the middle cog, i can only shift twice - not the 10 shifts i should be able to shift.

Well i secured the cable and noticed i wasnt getting movement out of the derailleur. I unsecured the cable and have been using manual tension to test the shifting.

No Front Derailleur limits the number of gears and terrain i can cover. Not for cyclocross racing, just an all around bike. So i will have 11-32 and a 50-34 Sram 22....
