Price for service

I am clueless about bike mechanic prices...

I was charged $30 dollars to swap a bottom bracket, crank and stems from one frame to another - identical frames (nothing fancy 1986 Fuji Allegro's).

Thanks for the advice. So all I need is a wrench and mechanical inclination? Nothing else to pack the bearings? What kind of lube should I use to re-grease the thing? Thanks!
