Fixed Gear Chain Breaks While Riding

What if my chain breaks while going fast on a fixed gear bike and the front break is not enough to prevent crashing.
Can I use my foot to help slow down the rear wheel?...

Brakes on Top Road Bars

I am running front and rear brakes.
My hand position is mostly on top of the bars.
Is it ok just to have 2 cross lever installed?
functional? safety? or will it look just goofy :twitchy:
