Wiggo seemed to go really early (too early to me) and then i think he realised that he was still in the lead and wondered where the rest of them were, sat up a little then had another go.

When I commute it can be either 16 or 20 miles (each way) depending on which way I go. Sometimes (depending on weather and time) on the way home I add about 5 extra miles onto the route.

Not sure about the CSO's but I think when Police are in position they hold more weight than you so it might be for you to prove you were not cycling.
