I know Met makes a helmet that uses gel pads. It won't get soggy, but then again sweat might roll into your eyes if you don't wear a cap.

I ended up getting a rival gruppo on my CAAD10 and spent the extra on some Reynolds Assaults. I'm happy I made that choice. Next on the list are Red shifters.

It won't do anything for you, but if it will make you feel faster by all means it won't hurt to get it. Any upgrade that will get you more excited to go out and ride is a worthy upgrade in my book.
