Chauner's bike has been on eBay several times in the past, not sure if it's the same seller or not. Thanks for all the kind words, and yes those are (were?) Nervex lugs. The headlugs give it away.

Still a good idea to have some sort of foot retention. If your foot slips off a pedal on a fixed gear, it's come right back around to smack you in the shin and you'll lose a lot of control.

I much prefer the Mavic CXP 33 over the Velocity Deep V. Lighter, stronger (eyelet'd), and better looking (IMO). Also, the Deep V is notorious for denting at the sidewall.

Also, S-D as left-right makes sense to me.
