What to buy for a fellow commuter who lost his bike in an accident?

Well, the subject says it all. He needed medical treatment, but he seems to be much more depressed about wrecking his precious (and expensive) Bianchi. Any ideas on how to make him feel better?

The stem was completely frozen and even the bolt didn't move one bit. After turning the bike...

I keep hearing that, but it's really quite sweeping. I ride on roads, as I'm aware of the dangers I'm exposed to and the dangers I pose on sidewalks. But that's only because I ride relatively fast....

I'm located in Israel. The seller was clueless about the history of the bike, as it had been given to her as a present. If I understand correctly, the similar bike I linked to is located in Canada.

A Bianchi cruiser

I bought this today for my wife.

It's a Bianchi, but I'm not sure which model. Not everything is original, of course: the pedals, handbrake and tires are new. It's probably from the...

Randy, that's very helpful. I need it for solid and basic transportation, mostly for weekend rides around the city, so you're right on.
Unfortunately, I don't have any more pictures. Thanks again.

Does anyone identify this 27" roadie?

Looks like there are a few Raleigh components, but I'm not sure. If anyone knows any details (year? are all parts original? etc.), I'll be happy to hear.

I'm 180cm and I ride on a 19". Based on that, I'd say 20" would probably be more comfortable, but you should ride one and see for yourself. The difference is noticeable, so don't skip the test-ride.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I don't know if it matters, but perhaps I should also mention that my route is quite hilly at times.
