Thanks for the reply. I think I am just going to upgrade to a better set since I plan on keeping the bike for a few more years at least.

Does anyone have any input on this? Is the crank arm pressed onto the spider? Is there a fix or should I get a new crank? This bike was purchased in 2000 and the crank is a Shimano Deore 9spd....
