Very well put... nothing wrong with discs~ they're worth every dollar of the money your'e going to put into buying new hubs, maybe getting an adapter for the rear if disc brake mounts aren't built in...

If money isn't really an object, go with the marzocchi Z1 series. it's all the quality you can buy, with the best airsprung system you'll find (uses higher volume, lower pressure... better seal...
