As long as you don't act like an idiot and skid all the time, it won't wear terribly fast. Many trials riders use those tires for street.

I have a fork with 70 mm of travel and it doesn't feel like suspension at all. Bottoms out off of everything...and I love it. Rigid soon.

Nah, it just skipped when I gave a really hard, fast pedal stroke. The derailleur isn't in the greatest of condition either.

Nah, I think it's cheaper to get a new cassette.

Best way to get extra height when hopping up an object is to let the front wheel hit it a little. Both these words mean the same thing. Hopping both wheels at a time is just plain hopping.
