You guys need to remember that he is 13. With a 400 budget, yes there are much better bikes. He is bound to change his mind a year or two down the road anyway. Maybe then he could get a better bike.

Just because they have stayed in business doesn't make them stronger. Are small dropouts better because you like them better? The dropouts go vertical with the fork, how is that going to get hooked...

Looks can be decieving. You are compairing a set of 110.00 forks to a set of 55.00 forks. Glossy powercoat doesn't make a better (stronger) product.

The color is advertised as "Tan", But to me it looks like "burnt orange".
