That is awefully tempting. Their rental price is more than the airline extra charges though (assuming I rent for 1 week at any of the places) For $180 + a cab to the shop and I'm tempted to wait...

Yeah, that's the other big reason I'm not bringing my bike. If it feels nasty there, I just won't rent a bike. Not sure what else I'll do for 8 days in SD, but I'm sure I'll find something.
