You shouldn't be seeing ads w/Ti membership. Look over what all "add ons" you have installed on IE.

I got a new laptop earlier this year (W8, IE9) and I was seeing ads- which should not happen. ...

Found the problem to my ^^ issue. Apparently, there was an extension that installed itself to IE.
