I usually prefer the men's relaxed cut bike JERSEYs anyhow. The women's short sleeve jerseys generally have the sleeves too short for me; and as a curmudgeonly 50-ish person I don't like wearing...

If your rides are measured in blocks instead of miles, so be it. It takes time to get out of shape and it takes time to get into shape. Your body is going to need some time to adapt to the stresses....

I have so much more respect for people of any...

I have so much more respect for people of any size who are trying to improve their health and fitness than I have for people who are so hung up on their appearance that they won't do anything active...

Please try to not worry about the bike shorts. Anything that increases your comfort on the bike will help you enjoy your ride so it's more fun and not work. For me, wearing street clothes invites...
