yes TacomaSailor, viejas grade is best done as a climb but you can descend it on a road bike with 23's if you have to.

of the concentration of stop lights/signs/traffic. a lot more open
stretches in no co. but then again, i may be the only one...

and there's one i forgot about in san diego county, on hwy 94 about 5 miles east of jamul. it's the nearly mile ascent up to the dulzura cafe/post office area. some nice curves, fairly descent...

deer creek has a bad rep and obviously isn't easy but has gorgeous views westward...
