Definitely much heavier, which is why you don't see them used on lightweight bikes. My guess is that the IGH was about 2 lbs heavier than a derailleur setup.

Thanks. The tires are tubulars (sew-ups). The front is a Continental Tempo, orange tread with natural sidewall. The rear is a Vittoria Corsa Evo CX. They are both used race tires I had lying around....
