You couldn't run two calipers from one lever. The master cylinder would be too small resulting in too much lever travel.

Even the hydraulic levers may not be the solution as their master cylinder size will be matched to their own calipers.
This may well be too small for the calipers that we want to use on the tandems.

If they are a composite piston that doesn't transmit much heat, it must be staying in the disc instead. It doesn't magically disappear.
